CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON MAGDEBURG LOGISTICS SITE

ELAD Investments has started construction has on a 32,000 sq m logistics site in Magdeburg, Germany. Magdeburg is a well-known centre for logistics, with Samsung, Amazon, DPD, DHL, Dascher, and Hermes having a presence in the city. 

Acquired in Q3 2023, The site is ideally positioned for traditional logistics and e-commerce operators, being close to the motorways A2 and A14 that traverse Germany and offer quick access to Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig and Hanover.
The project is being built to a high specification with a focus on sustainability, featuring solar panels on the roof, energy-efficient LED lighting, fossil-free heating via heat pumps, green roofs, bicycle parking, EV charging station and a dedicated wellbeing area.

The Magdeburg project forms part of ELAD’s portfolio of 17 logistics assets, including stabilised buildings and assets under development. ELAD has been an active investor in the European logistics developing and managing over two million sqm of space across seven countries.
